How I Maintain My Body

Hey guys!

So i just received this question from one of my reader and thought it would be nice to actually just do up a blogpost nice my video editing skills are not so good :(

Okay, so the reader asked how do i maintain my figure, like my legs? Do i exercise? And what products do i use for my skin...

Okay, so answering the first part of the question, how do i maintain my figure. Basically, i don't do anything to maintain my figure, since really young, i already have very high metabolism rate. I am a BIG EATER when i take food. Well.. most of the time when i like what i am eating. I.am.not.on.diet. I am actually a really lazy girl, so i would rather stay in bed than to get out of my bed to get food. So, i do skip my meals at times. Yes i know it is unhealthy so just a tip for you, don't be like me. I love to snack or eat fast food late at night. However, sometimes when i really eat alot, i do get bloated, but i guess it just takes time for the food to digest.

Next, how do i maintain my legs, do i exercise? Hmm, basically, when i was really really young, i took up ballet, chinese dance as well as gymnastics. But that was.... 6 years ago. And i absolutely loved sports, i took part in swimming, sports such as rock climbing, inline skating, kick boxing. As for other ball sports, i do play them, even thou im not really good.. So.. maybe my legs got muscular due to that. Besides, when i was really young, i did loads of squats.. And.. do i exercise? Yes i do, but its in the past. I have been so lazy ever since 1 month before O Levels.. So i stopped doing my daily workouts. Now.. all i ever do is to enjoy my day and night in bed. Its the holidays afterall, best time to catch up on sleep.

Lastly, what products do i use on my skin. For your benefit, i'll add in the products i used for my hair as well!

I wash my hair once in 2 days, unless my hair gets wet, or sweat or stinky or anything, i do wash. I use the Essential Deep Cleansing Care Shampoo as well as conditioner for my hair, sometimes, i switch to treatment. I did a blogpost on Essential last month, check it out here.

For my face, i find it a chore to do so many steps like cleansing my face, putting toner, moisturiser and stuff. I only cleanse or rather, wash my face, shows how lazy i am. So.. My face is not as flawless as you may think it is. I use Sephora Purity Facial Wash. And if i were to put on makeup, i would use the Biore Miscellar Cleansing Water and it works well with my skin, except for the mascara part. Because the facial wash i use is somewhat 3 in 1.. Which include Wash, Toner as well as acts as a Makeup Remover.

Moving on, i use drugstore brand for bathing.. like many of you out there, i use lifebouy haha. Nothing Special.

Blogshop Model

Hey guys,

Its been almost 2 weeks since i last blogged and now, its almost coming to the end of the year 2014, so i am kind of reflecting on the whole year. 

But the main thing of the post today is modelling.

So i am just going to talk about the whole modelling experience.

But before i start, i notice that so many young girls want to start modelling for blogshops and stuff, like i have seen many many comments on different blogshops on asking if they need models and many of the people who are, are young girl, and by young, i really mean young, like probably not my age.. i am 17 by the way.. I mean like those aged 12 and above, or even younger. Its not that i want to criticize those young girls. But i feel like during my time, my body kinda have not fully developed, so maybe i do not look my best yet. And maybe, i am still growing right now. I mean like, everyone changes right? Its a matter of time.

Just a note to all those girls.. for your age right now. Just enjoy life. Because when you grow older, you will look so much more prettier, and you do wanna look good in pictures right? Thats what everyone wants. Or rather, every girl wants. And when you grow older, life will get harder by each day.

I mean, it is good that you wanna start young, but maybe not too young?

But anyways, thats just my thought, you can choose to ignore..

Okay okay, to wrap up 2014 in my modelling life, it just gets better and better. I started modelling for blogshops since April 2014 because i felt that besides the filming world, i would like to venture into modelling as well, to gain exposure to other types of jobs basically. So i started with blogshop modelling to kinda see if i can blend in with the modelling industry.

Blogshops usually look for people who have experience because those who have experience are not as camera shy and stiff.

To be honest, for my very first shoot, i kind of was.. very stiff, and it showed in the pictures which is not a very good thing.

But for a start, it look okay for a first timer. Got so much more less stiff and more relaxed for the next shoot already. Heh Heh. 

Of course it gets better for each shoot, and now for blogshop shoots.. i am able to take probably 40-50 outfits minimum in 2 hours, thats how fast i can go, but of course if there is less, i would slacken haha.

But my style is to change outfits fast, pose fast. So as to finish shooting all the clothes within the time given by the client or rather blogshop owner. Like you hire me, i will want to do finish the job you are giving me. Hahaha.

And by doing blogshop modelling, it gives me so much more confidence in front of the camera and more confidence in my looks, which resulted in moving on to the finals of Teenage Mission Gorgeous You 2014 and Top40 in The New Paper New Face 2014, hopefully i get into Top20 next year :D

And now for shoots, i PREFER to be super carefree, which means like not restricting myself to do this and that.

Just some photos i kope from my most recent shoot and the top few of me in black hair are from Uzicorn's previous shoot!

From shoots, i get to pull off many many looks, like the nerdy kind of girl.. to fierce or even hipster kind.. haha. At the end of the day, the best shots are usually of me smiling brightly. However, it gets kind of sad when my hair decides not to listen.. which resulted in not very nice photos.. :( The feeling of being able to do the shoot well makes me feel good haha.

Till date, for the past 8 months, ive modelled for a few brands, such as style bliss, lovelyitemss, uzicorn, jakins enterprise and more. The parts of my experience in modelling.

I am just so blessed for all these opportunity and obviously i hope to be able to model for more brands and more collections! Through modelling each time, i grow (which is the best outake).

And, yes, its getting really late.. like.. 3 am now..

Jose Eber (Tutorial)

I have been wanting to post this up some time ago, but due to the video problems, im unable to post it up haha. Struggling so much in the video tutorial part!

Probably its not well done but i hope it shows you how i always do my hair :D

Just sharing some things that i did not say in the video here haha!

Before using the Jose Eber Hair Curler, i have been using strightener and it always makes my hair very dry, i usually spend more than 1 hour just on my hair and it never ever curls fully and they do not last long too. So sometimes its really not nice to wake up super early in the morning just to do my hair and makeup in preparation for shoot, especially if the shoot is in the morning.

The hair curler contains negative ions which does not really harm your hair, probably it does, but not as much as other hair curlers haha. Ceramic Coating, harms hair lesser than how iron coating harms. Not-so-high temperature @ 150 degrees. I used to use 220degrees on my hair due to myself always rushing for time. 

Jose Eber hair curler takes only 10 seconds to heat up and you only have to curl your hair on the tong for at least 3 seconds for it to be curled.

Instead of taking an hour and more to curl  my hair, now i only take less than 15 minutes to curl my hair, yay.

Aloha everyone!

It has been 3 weeks ever since my O levels ended and its real awesome that i am FINALLY not going to touch my books for a long long time.

 

I have been wanting to dye my hair for a SUPER DUPER long time, so not fond of my super black hair, i find it ugly, probably not to others i guess. Wanted to dye my hair into a dark brown shae, anything that is not BLACK. Sometimes it just fascinates me about how i look so black when i wear black maxi with black flats and black floppy hat, i totally look like a witch. I mean it and no, i am not trying to be racist here. Besides the brown hair, i wanted to go for something fancy like some highlights on the bottom half of my scalp area. Purple, Blue, Green, Pink, Turquoise all sounds real nice and i could not decide on which colour for my hair. Thus i decided to go over to the salon and ask the stylist what colour will suit me.

Top Image approached me, and i was super happy because they won many awards in the past for their professional services. Besides getting awards, they also helped to style and cut the hair for celebrities such as Pan Ling Ling and Xiang Yun Jie etc. They do hair shows as well, both locally and internationally, so they are not only known locally but also internationally, i mean like how cool is that? They did Shu Uemura, a well known makeup brand. Well, i wanted to dye my hair straight after my last paper on 10 november. But well, Top image is not open for business on Mondays which made me push my appointment to Tuesday instead. So sad but so so so excited!

 

I went over to the salon on Tuesday and had a talk with the stylists, about what colour should i do for my hair. But there is this feeling that i knew my hair was in good hands. Since it was my very first time dyeing my hair, i tried not to be too fancy of the overall look of my hair. Keyword: OVERALL. I could not imagine my hair in other colours so.. i had a real hard time to choose the colour and in the end, i just left my hair to the stylist for her to do her magic..With me still requesting for the colour not to be too bright. Feels weird but cool. But anyways, before i dyed my hair, my hair was cut personally by another professional stylist, which is the director of Top Image who have won many awards. Guess what, i have not cut my hair for... 1.5years? Since June 2013, haha, which explains the length of my hair.. Almost to my butt.

 

But my hair was real nice, thats what i felt.

 

 

When the dyeing process over, and i had a quick hair wash since i was rushing for time, not sure is it just me, or the shampoo has such a nice smell, peppermint. Mmmmm, the smell is heavenly.

 

After colouring my hair, i went over to do my highlights, and to my horror, the stylist said my choice of hair colours for the bottom part of the scalp will look ugly together with my new hair colour, which made me quite sad la. However, she recommended that i do some highlights on the outer corners of my hair so that it will be visible, with light brown colour, or rather, copper coloured highlights. And cine i trusted the stylist, i decided to heed her advice and go along with her suggestion. Dammit, i NEVER EVER regretted my decision on doing the highlights the stylist wanted to do.. SUPER DUPER nice after a quick wash and blow. My previous idea of my hair seems weird already. But still, i love my hair the way it is and now, not too light. Some of my friends told me that my hair still looks natural, even better than my previous hair colour, and that is the kind of hair i wanted to achieve. Just not too black like my previous hair was. Happy me, thanks to Top Image!

 

Then...

 

For my prom, OF COURSE I went over to Top Image once again, for their professional services on stylist my hair. Did i mention that they do not only do hair services but also makeup services? My makeup was done by Top Image as well! Besides getting awards for their professional hair services, they also got many awards for their makeup services as well such as getting the 1st place in Shu Uemura makeup competition. So, i did not have to worry about my hair and makeup since it was in good hands. I spent so much time on getting the right accessories and dress and heels.

Before i went to the salon, i was actually in Red Camp so i was kinda shag (the Singapore meaning of shag,not the one in Oxford Dictionary). Thanks to another stylist who helped me to wash my hair since i did not wash the previous night and it felt sticky and stuff. Felt really refreshed after the wash, like each time after i wash my hair. I changed into my outfit for easier application of my hair and makeup by the stylist. I went there early so that they do not have to rush on my makeup and hair, and that they could take their time, because rushing through everything might ruin my whole appearance for the night *shocked face*. To match up with my dress, the makeup artist did a princess kind of look for me. Heh heh, princess for prom! She experiment mint and blue and yea, white colour to brighten up my look. And trimmed my brows, yes, they look great now, so much easier to draw and so much prettier.

 

Makeup is done and i finally moved on to my hair.

 

And because my hair is brown, its even better because i look more princessey. Yay, i love curls on my hair cos they look good, thats why i always curl my hair for my photoshoot. Yup, the stylist helped me to curl my hair, and added some hairspray that added volume to my hair and made the curls stay. It was pure awesomeness. I wanted something more for my hair so i requested for a braid on my fringe since it always gets messy, and she gave me the perfect little waterfall braid that is just so pretty, i expected the braid to just be on one side but she was nice enough to do it on the other side as well! I really felt like an enchanted princess for the WHOLE NIGHT, thanks to the makeup artist and the stylist, in which they are actually the same person, the other director.

 

That night, i waled into Conrad, the hotel that my prom was held in. And got almost everyone staring at me (okay, maybe not as exaggerating but yeash probably, thats what i felt), i looked very different from my usual school look which is super nerdy but overall i still think i look different from my usual looks but, in the good way of course! All thanks to TOP IMAGE for helping me look so good. I got nominated for best dressed, although i didnt clinch the award, at least i got nominated right? :D
